Note: the following information is for the SIC1 console. It does not pertain to the SIC2 console. If you have an SIC2 console, please see the related article: How to save and import custom SIC2 console settings.

If you are setting up a studio or gym with multiple bikes that will all use the same console settings, you can export the console configuration settings to upload them to all bikes to save time.


The following custom console settings can be saved to a USB drive:

  • Unit of measurement
  • KCAL Toggle
  • Backlight duration
  • Contrast level
  • Auto pause setting
  • USB port setting

Use the BACKLIGHT or AVG/END buttons to scroll through the menu, and the STAGE button to select a menu item.


How to save your console settings

The custom console settings are saved in an import.cfg file format.

  1. Activate the console by pressing any button.
  2. Insert your USB drive into the USB port on the console.
    Make sure that the USB port on the console is enabled (see Stages Indoor Cycling SIC1 Console User Guide).
  3. Press and hold the BACKLIGHT and AVG/END buttons for 5 seconds to enter the SETTINGS menu.
  4. Use the BACKLIGHT or AVG/END buttons to scroll to SYSTEM, then press the STAGE button to select it.
  5. Scroll to FIRMWARE, then press STAGE to select it. 
  6. Scroll to SAVE CFGthen press STAGE to select it.  
    The console will begin saving the custom console settings to the USB drive and SAVE--- will appear in the message banner.
  7. If the custom console settings are saved successfully to the USB drive, the word DONE will appear in the message banner.


Steps to import your console settings

  1. Activate the console by pressing any button.
  2. Insert the USB drive that contains the import.cfg file you intend to use.
    Make sure that the USB port on the console is enabled (see Stages Indoor Cycling SIC1 Console User Guide).
  3. Press and hold the BACKLIGHT and AVG/END buttons for 5 seconds to enter the SETTINGS menu.
  4. Use the BACKLIGHT or AVG/END buttons to scroll to SYSTEM, then press the STAGE button to select it.
  5. Scroll to FIRMWARE, then press STAGE to select it.
  6. Scroll to IMPORT CFG then press STAGE to select it.
    The console will begin importing the custom console settings to the console and IMPRT--- will appear in the message banner.
    Tip: You can also use this shortcut to select IMPORT CFG from the SYSTEM menu: After inserting the USB drive, press and hold the BACKLIGHT and STAGE buttons for 3 seconds.
  7. If the custom console settings are imported successfully to the console, the word DONE will appear in the message banner.
