The LED light on the Gen. 3 indoor power meter indicates the power meter battery level and that the unit is awake and functioning.

The LED light will blink for 10 to 15 seconds when the crank is initially rotated. The LED will not blink the entire time the power meter is awake. The power meter needs to sleep for 8 to 10 minutes before the LED light will turn on again when rotating the crank.
The LED will blink for 10 to 15 seconds after the hard reset button is depressed and the power meter reboots and resumes broadcast.
The LED indicator is located on the inside of the power meter housing. The easiest way to view the LED indicator when the power meter is installed on the bike is by looking for the reflection of the light on the belt guard.
Gen. 1 and Gen. 2 power meters (971-0100 & 971-0101) do not have an LED indicator light on the power meter housing. See the related article: How do I check the battery level on the Stage Power meter (971-0100 & 971-0103)?
