The LED indicator on the Gen. 3 indoor power meter indicates one of the following:

  1. The crank is awake and functioning - the green LED light will blink for 10 to 15 seconds when the crank is initially rotated. The LED will not blink the entire time the power meter is awake. The power meter needs to sleep for 8 to 10 minutes before the LED light will turn on again when rotating the crank.

  2. The power meter battery level -
    LED ColorBattery Level
    GreenGood, approximately 6-100% battery remaining
    RedCritical, approximately 1-5% battery remaining

  3. The power meter hard reset is complete - the green LED will blink for 10 to 15 seconds after the hard reset button is depressed and the power meter reboots and resumes broadcast.

The LED indicator is located on the inside of the power meter housing. The easiest way to view the LED indicator when the power meter is installed on the bike is by looking for the reflection of the light on the belt guard.

Gen. 1 and 2 power meters (971-0100 & 971-0101) do not have an LED indicator light on the power meter housing.
